Misty days

I got on my bike today for the first time in over two weeks. It feels good to be back in the game.

Haven’t seen you in a while…

My chest is still a bit wheezy from The Cold, but I desperately needed to get out. I felt like a trapped bird. The thing was, unlike the last two weekends, today wasn’t the greatest day for weather. It was cold and mist had blanketed the ground.

By 11am it had lifted enough to get out, with lights and high-vis jacket. I had tights and a double top layer as well as a snood for my neck and a head band kept the cold air out.

Can you spot me? one orange jacket.

I took a 20km route through the Cheshire countryside on one of my favourite routes. It was calm – the mist added to the eerie peace and quiet. There weren’t that many cyclists out today either.

The route took me through Wilmslow, out towards Morley Green, Mobberley, Great Warford, Nether Alderley, Alderley Edge bypass, back up through Wilmslow.

View of the fields, or mist today.

I got home cold, happy and glad to have gone out, and had leftover homemade Thai chicken curry to warm me up. Perfect.
