Yesterday was a busy day: bit of DIY around the house, gardening and taking the kids to a local National Trust property. It got to 6pm and I thought I’d better get out on my bike. I was followed by my support vehicle – with the kids and Mr Shespoke shouting encouragement out the window -‘Allez, allez, allez’.
I did the triathlon route: one big hill at Ashley, followed by country lanes, then along one main road. It went well; the hill was slow but I got up it fine. Those Welsh hills last week have been good preparation.
Stats: 91m climbing, 22.8km, 1hr 03mins.
I got home and felt satisfied I can still do it.
